Managing Your Subscription

TODAY Type offers various subscription plans for individuals and organizations. This guide explains how to view and manage your subscription.

For Individual Users

Individual users can access TODAY Type's core features with a free account:

Free Account Features

  • Unlimited typing tests
  • Progress tracking and statistics
  • Achievement system
  • Leaderboard participation
  • Multiple learning methods
  • AI Hybrid training

Individual accounts don't require payment for basic features.

For Organizations

Team and enterprise features require an organization subscription.

Accessing Billing

  1. Go to Client Dashboard
    Access /client/.
  2. Click "Billing"
    Select Billing from the navigation menu.

Viewing Subscription Details

In the Billing section, you can see:

Current Plan Information

  • Plan Name - Your current subscription tier
  • User Limit - Maximum team members allowed
  • Billing Cycle - Monthly or annual billing
  • Next Billing Date - When your next payment is due
  • Amount - Cost per billing cycle

Usage Information

  • Active Users - Current number of team members
  • Available Seats - Remaining capacity

Changing Your Plan

Upgrading

To upgrade to a higher plan:

  1. Go to Billing in your Client Dashboard
  2. Review available plans
  3. Select "Upgrade" on your desired plan
  4. Confirm the change

Upgrades take effect immediately. You'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle.

Downgrading

To downgrade to a lower plan:

  1. Go to Billing in your Client Dashboard
  2. Select "Change Plan"
  3. Choose a lower tier
  4. Confirm the change

Before Downgrading

Ensure your current user count doesn't exceed the new plan's limit. You may need to remove team members before downgrading to a plan with fewer seats.

Adding More Users

If you need more team members than your current plan allows:

Option 1: Add User Seats

  • Purchase additional seats within your current plan
  • Pay per additional user
  • Good for small increases

Option 2: Upgrade Plan

  • Move to a higher tier with more included seats
  • Often more cost-effective for larger increases
  • Includes additional features

Billing Cycles

Monthly Billing

  • Pay month-to-month
  • Flexibility to change plans
  • Higher monthly cost

Annual Billing

  • Pay for a full year upfront
  • Significant discount (typically 15-20%)
  • Best for committed organizations

Save with Annual Billing

Annual subscriptions offer the best value. Contact our sales team to discuss annual pricing for your organization.

Canceling Your Subscription

If you need to cancel your organization subscription:

  1. Go to Billing
    Access the Billing section in your Client Dashboard.
  2. Select "Cancel Subscription"
    Find the cancellation option in your plan details.
  3. Complete the cancellation process
    You may be asked for feedback on why you're leaving.

What Happens After Cancellation

  • Your subscription continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Team members retain access until that date
  • Data is preserved for 90 days after cancellation
  • You can reactivate your subscription at any time

Data Retention

After cancellation, your organization's data is retained for 90 days. You can export reports before your access ends. After 90 days, data may be permanently deleted.
