Words Per Minute (WPM) is calculated by dividing the total number of characters typed by 5 (the average word length), then dividing by the time in minutes. We use "net WPM" which accounts for errors by subtracting incorrect words from the total.
Can I use TODAY Type on mobile devices?
TODAY Type is optimized for desktop use with a physical keyboard, as typing training is most effective with proper keyboard practice. While the platform is accessible on tablets, we recommend using a desktop or laptop for the best experience.
